Lake City

Lake City is located at an elevation of 8671 feet, yet surrounded by 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks. There are 5 "fouteeners" in near proximity to Lake City with ample outdoor opportunities. It has one of the largest historical districts in Colorado with over 75 buildings dating from the late 1880's. The Hinsdale County Museum will take you back to Lake City's earlier days with tours during the summer of the Victorian homes and buildings.
