The
organization of the Biological Resource Discipline (BRD)
is an outgrowth of the BRD mission -- to work with others
to provide the scientific understanding and technologies
needed to support the sound management and conservation
of our Nation's biological resources.

National Biological Information Infrastructure
The
National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII) is
a broad, collaborative program to provide increased access
to data and information on the nation's biological resources.
The NBII links diverse, high-quality biological databases,
information products, and analytical tools maintained by
NBII partners and other contributors in government agencies,
academic institutions, non-government organizations, and
private industry.

Get
listings of endangered species, ongoing legislative testimony,
education resources and many other links to endangered species
links.
The
Colorado Natural Heritage Program
The Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) provides sound,
reliable information for responsible resource decision making.
The CNHP has performed surveys of rare plant and insect
species in both Ouray and San Miguel Counties and is currently
(summer 2002) conducting a survey in San Juan County. They
hope to survey La Plata County in 2003.
