San Juan Odyssey Tour

Mountain Studies Institute (MSI) is pleased to announce that Andrew Gulliford, FLC Professor, author and historian, along with Beverly Rich, chairman of the San Juan Historical Society will be joining us as interpretive guides on the 2nd annual San Juan Odyssey Tour – a combination of adventure and education that celebrates unique treasures found only in the San Juan Mountains.

  This day-long tour will start in Silverton and wind through the San Juans, in the comfort of a tour vehicle provided by Switzerland Of America.  Participants will have the opportunity to take in stunning panoramic vistas, fall foliage and visit historic mining sites. Andrew Gulliford, Beverly Rich,  along with Mountain Studies staff will join us as expert interpretive guides to be on hand to share their knowledge and answer questions about the geology, hydrology, flora, fauna, and history of legacy mining in the area. 

This tour is a historical journey that is designed to share our passion for and knowledge of the mountains while offering participants a sense of adventure, exploration, and learning.   

The San Juan Odyssey Tour takes place Saturday, September 15th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Advance registration is required; Cost: $125 per person and includes lunch price has been extended to August 10th. Seats are limited. Secure your spot register here:
