**This page is currently under development. Please check back for additional updates.**

Mountain Studies Institute is working alongside National Science Foundation and researchers Jim Miller and Imtiaz Rangwala to create lessons on climate change, and more specifically impacts to high elevation ecosystems in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. These lesson plans are created for high school students, but could be altered to be appropriate for other age groups. Standards covered are Earth Science Standard #4: Climate is the result of energy transfer among interactions of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, and biosphere. The series of lesson plans include Climate Change Impacts to Tourism in La Plata County, Climate and Energy Systems, Analyzing and Interpreting Climate Data, and Climate Change in the San Juan Mountains.
