MSI hosted a group from Jim Elser's lab at Arizona State University, along with Tom Andersen and other visitors from Norway. Their study, "Zooplankton Stoichiometry and Nitrogen Deposition", is funded by the National Science Foundation. MSI provided lodging, lab space, field/lab assistants, public lands permitting, and technical assitance.
MSI was the local host of the 2008 Mountain Climate Research Conference (MTNCLIM) and Managers' Workshop. Over 120 people attended.
