Please join us to learn more about beetles and their role in our forests with insect experts of the Southwest!

Entomologists Dr. Dan West, Colorado State Forest Service, and Amy Lockner, US Forest Service, will be leading a discussion and tour at the Wolf Creek Lodge and Ski Area on Friday September 20th. Burgers and snacks will be provided for lunch - please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. There will be a brief discussion with Dr. Dan West and Amy Lockner after lunch followed by a hiking tour at 1:30pm. Some of the topics to be addressed include the history of beetle activity in the Wolf Creek area, how potential beetle populations could change in the future, and what regeneration may look like on Wolf Creek Pass. 

Please RSVP for this event and remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, rain-gear (just in case), and appropriate hiking clothes and shoes.
