Wildflower Walk

Take a Walk in the Wild Flowers! Join us for a fun, educational and informative walk with flora expert Candice Carson.  Explore the many native wildflowers found in the San Juan Mountains. Test your knowledge and learn about the amazing diversity found in Velocity Basin, located near Silverton.  All ages and skill levels are welcome. 

•    Walks typically cover short distances of easy to occasionally moderately difficult walking trails.
•    Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
•    No special equipment is needed, but feel free to bring field guides, a hand lens and/or a camera.   
•    Participants will meet at 9 am at the Mountain Discovery Center, 114, 12th Street in Silverton.  Carpooling is encouraged. 4 wheel drive is recommended.
